Oh ya, and I am getting surgery on my nose (remember how I broke it?) ON WEDNESDAY so you can come wish me luck!

See you there, artfags!

At the Rio with the Ludski's

My film Ice Cream was screened last Saturday at the Rio Cinema in Dalston at the newish East London-y film and performance night called At Home with the Ludski's. The next night is in November or December, so if you are around London, definitely look out for it. Here are some shots of the projections on the front of the beautiful art deco building.

I went with my lovely friend Louise. We had fun. And it was great seeing my work on the big screen!

And I would recommend seeing some films there. Vintage Cinemas are the JAM.

At Home With...The Ludskis

I am showing my film Ice Cream at a late night Art exhibition at the Rio, an awesome art deco theatre in Dalston, London. It's on October 1 from 11:30 until 3 am, and the lineup is looking pretty fun, what with all the crazy filmmakers and performance artists getting involved. It's going to be wicked! So get your asses down there next saturday to look at some art and party with meeeeee!!!!

One of my films was published on a curated video and performance art blog. Check it out yes please by clicking that link you see right there. You might have to scroll down, they update often. They published it on my birthday, August 29, same birthday as Michael Jackson.

And here is a picture I took of a whale in Perth. I have more photos to come. Just you wait.

Kwick Love Aftermath

Kwick Love was a success last weekend, but MAN did it go by fast. How apropos. The festival itself was a bit mad, but our little exhibition was a bit off the beaten path, so I tended to stay around the space to avoid the mad drunken crowds. Is uncontrollable drunkenness now a prerequisite for art appreciation?

And look! We even got some press!

Thanks to Leo Cohen the curator for doing such a great job. Here are some lovely photos of the lovely exhibition.

Some installation shots of my film,  Daddy.

And finally, little Sydney at 2 years old.

If you didn't get a chance to see the exhibition, I will be exhibiting my film as part of MillingtonMarriott's Film Series Open, screening from August 15-21 at New Gallery Peckham. Facebook invite HERE!

Kwick Love Exhibition

Tomorrow is the beginning of the annual Hackney Wicked Art Festival, which is pretty much a mad excuse for all the whacked out arty people in and around Hackney to make a bunch of weird shit and get wasted all weekend. It's good fun. I am in an exhibition with a group of great young artists in a pop-up gallery in an abandoned shop. It's well good. The private view starts at 6 and the show runs until sunday. Come!

Winkball Interview

Winkball was the official sponsor for our degree show. This is a website that aspires to be a social networking site, but with videos. They interviewed me a few days before the show opened.

Private View Proof

Last night was the CSM BA Fine Art Degree show. It was awesome. Not only was I blown away by the quality of the work, but my fabulous mother was in attendance. After the post-show party at Foundation bar in Covent Garden, we ended the night dancing our faces off at the Joiners Arms. Pretty sure I turned a gay man straight. My dress was that hot. Arting is super duper fun!

The show runs until June 23, 12-8. Also, pretty sure the last photo of my Mum and John is THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN!

Degree Show, What What!

My Degree show opens tomorrow. Holey Moley. It's hard to believe that three years of hard work has FINALLY come to fruition. I feel happy, sad, excited, depressed, tired, giddy and a wee bit maniacal. But really and truly, I have a feeling it is gonna be a WICKED show. Yay us.

June 1 was the last day we installed our work. We celebrated mightily. Here are some photos of people I love.

Here is the invite with all the info. The private view is invite only, but come Friday, any old Tom Dick or Harry can show their face. So you should!

Also. We have an online catalogue. Do take a look.

The Calm Before the Storm

My Degree show at opens on June 17. I have to be done installing everything by Tuesday at 5 or I am toast. I have a lot to do.

I am showing video and audio pieces. It will be super duper. So come. Here is the invite.

Midnight Marauder

I am working on a film in Qualicum Beach, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. I just went for a midnight beach stroll.

The film is for my degree show. It is very personal. So far, so good.
